In January 2016 John Gorham’s world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer. This scuppered his plans to run the London Marathon with his wife Chrissy as John underwent chemotherapy treatment. Later in the year he had surgery to remove his oesophagus. John has received outstanding care at Southampton General from Professor Tim Underwood and oncologist Andrew Bateman and has been writing a blog since his diagnosis. Click here to read more.
